Emily & Simon's Wedding

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Emily & Simon's wedding at All Saints Church Merriot, followed by a reception at the Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster.

Because the guys were getting ready at Simon's parents' house, just a few doors down from the church, I was able to photograph them before heading over to Emily's to get the girly preparations!

It was a lovely service - with a fabulous female vicar! - and I was able to get some great images of the ceremony.

Here are a few photographs from their day...

Comments Please!

The great thing about this blog is that all of you reading it can post your comments. But so far...nothing!

Now I know that there are plenty of you reading this blog (past and present couples included!) so here is my big plea......please start leaving comments! Positive or negative (not rude though!) are all welcome.

Leaving one is easy - all you need to do is click where it says "0 comments" underneath the post you want to comment on and type in your thoughts.

It would be great if more of you could start doing this as I think it would make the blog an even better read for everyone!

Now the big question...who is going to be first?

Kind Words!

Recently I received a lovely handmade thank you card from one of my couples - Sarah & Phil who got married on 15th June. This is what they had to say...

"Dear Caroline, Thanks so much for all your hard work & support leading up to and on the day of our wedding! You went above and beyond and really gave us 110% - and we are very pleased with the results! Next time we're your way we'll drop you a line cause we definitely owe you a drink or two! Best wishes, Sarah & Phil"

As you can see below they even included a little photo of the three of us taken by one of their friends on the day!

So my message to Sarah and Phil is...thank you for letting me be part of your special day - I had a fab time and was made to feel very welcome by all your family and friends...and I'm looking forward to that drink!

Elizabeth & Lee's Pre-Wedding Session

The other pre-wedding session I did at Ashton Court yesterday was with Elizabeth & Lee who are getting married in September in Cardiff.

It was great to meet up with these guys who I'd only met briefly once before at a wedding show I did in Cardiff last Autumn. I got to hear all about the plans for their day and then we went off for a mini portrait session around the beautiful mansion grounds.

Hopefully the session has helped get rid of any nerves they might have for having their photographs taken on the big day! Here are a few of their pictures...

Nicola & Wayne's Pre-Wedding Session

Yesterday I went to Ashton Court Mansion, near Bristol to do a couple of pre-wedding sessions. Nicola and Wayne are getting married in just over two weeks time and seemed very calm and organised!

Calm wasn't a word that applied to their dog Jasper though, who had come along to join in the photo session! As well as jumping up on Nicola and getting muddy paw prints all over her white trousers he then decided to take a dip in the pond! But once in there he couldn't get out and poor Wayne had to drag him out - complete with a covering of pond weed! See photo below!

It's probably for the best that he'll be staying at home on the wedding day!

Gillian & Robin's Wedding

On Saturday I was in Plymouth for Gillian & Robin's wedding. Gillian & Robin first met each other at trampolining class at the China Fleet Country Club in Saltash. So it was only fitting that they held their wedding reception there too! And to make the tribute complete the club even let us in for a bit of a play on the trampolines!

Gillian is a dancer and her group performed an amazing cabaret set at the end of the evening featuring sets from all those old favourites - Grease, Sister Act, Saturday Night Fever and even Thriller. It was fantastic!

Fran & Nick's Wedding

Last week saw me heading for Wales to photograph Fran & Nick's wedding at the Llansantffraed Court Hotel near Abergavenny on Friday. Despite the abysmal weather and the fact that a few of their guests were either delayed or couldn't make it because of the flooding Fran & Nick were so upbeat and relaxed about everything!

As I had photographed Nick's sister Louise's wedding to Richard earlier this year I already knew many of the guests and it was nice to see them again!

Even though the rain didn't let up once all day Fran and Nick were still willing to brave outdoors (with the help of a white brolly!) for some portraits and we even managed to get everyone outside for a group photograph on the steps! Here are some pictures from their day...
