Glenys & David's Wedding

Saturday 18th August saw me covering a wedding at another lovely local venue - Hunstrete House. Glenys and David were second-time-rounders and their wedding was a small and intimate celebration with close friends and family. They took a really relaxed, informal approach to their day with David collecting Glenys from her room and escorting her to the ceremony.

Gaby & Matt's Wedding

Sorry - I'm a bit behind with blogging at the moment but doing my best to catch up!

On Friday 17th August I had the pleasure of photographing Gaby & Matt's wedding at the wonderful Ston Easton Park - one of my very favourite venues!

Gaby and Matt are a great couple and I had an absolute fab time with them and their families. Gaby is from Switzerland so the ceremony had readings in both English and German - but luckily the speeches were in English so I could understand all the jokes!

We had a great time doing the family informals and portraits of the two of them in the wonderful grounds and now they are enjoying their honeymoon in Nambia - fantastic! Here are few pictures from their day...

Sarah & Garin's Wedding

My second wedding from last weekend (12th August) was at the lovely Orchardleigh House, near Frome in Somerset. Sarah & Garin had a lovely service followed by a naming ceremony for their baby Olivia.

Afterwards everyone got to relax in the sunshine outside whilst the children (and there were over 30 of them!) got to play on the bouncy castle and with various lawn games.

Nicola & Wayne's Wedding

I had two weddings this weekend...the first was on Friday. Nicola & Wayne got married at Soundwell Church and had their reception at The Park, Wick - one of my favourite local venues.

You might remember Nicola and Wayne from their pre-wedding portrait session a few weeks ago when their dog Jasper jumped into the pond and proceeded to chase us around the grounds of Ashton Court Mansion? Well, luckily this time Jasper was nowhere to be seen! Quite fortunate for Nicola as she definitely didn't want any muddy pawprints on her beautiful dress.

Sian & Matthew's Wedding

Well on Saturday I was supposed to be photographing Sian & Matthew's wedding up in Abergavenny, Wales, and I duly travelled up the night before so as to avoid any potential delays on the morning of the wedding.

The only problem was I wasn't feeling all that good, and as the night wore on I got worse. When I woke in the morning I didn't think I was going to be able to get out of bed I felt that ill!

This situation is something I have been dreading happening...mine is not a job where you can call in sick! And that's why it is so important to have back up support that you can call on in such an emergency. My first port of call is Simon Harris - an amazing photographer (and friend!) who immediately agreed to drop everything and come up to Wales to help me out in case I couldn't make it through the whole day.

Sian & Matthew were amazingly calm and relaxed about the situation and between us Simon and I managed to take some wonderful photographs of their day. So here is a big thank you to Simon and another to Sian & Matt...THANK YOU!!!!

Anyway...back to Sian & Matt's wedding - it was clear for anyone to see how much in love these two are - Matthew could barely take his eyes of Sian throughout the whole ceremony! Here are some photographs from their day...

Louise & Richard's Pre-Wedding Session

Earlier this week I met up with Louise and Richard in Bath. They are getting married at the Assembly Rooms there in September and it was a good chance to chat about their plans and also to have a fun portrait session.

Louise told me afterwards that she was glad we had done the session as she now feels more relaxed about having the photographs taken on her wedding day. So a job well done!

Emily & Simon's Wedding

On Saturday I had the pleasure of photographing Emily & Simon's wedding at All Saints Church Merriot, followed by a reception at the Shrubbery Hotel, Ilminster.

Because the guys were getting ready at Simon's parents' house, just a few doors down from the church, I was able to photograph them before heading over to Emily's to get the girly preparations!

It was a lovely service - with a fabulous female vicar! - and I was able to get some great images of the ceremony.
